Databases

ChArMEx database
The ChArMEx database is shared between ChArMEx registered participants. Please check the site and help its preparation by providing metadata information on your planned contribution.

ChOC
The ChArMEx Operation Centre (ChOC) offers images from a great variety of model forecasts and near real time observations

Sister projects

MISTRALS - Mediterranean Integrated STudies at Regional And Local Scales
MISTRALS is a French multi-agency initiative to coordinate multidisciplinary research programmes at the scale of the Mediterranean basin and surrounding continental regions, including the study of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and lithosphere in a context of climate change and increasing anthropogenic pressure. ChArMEx is proposed in the frame of MISTRALS together with HyMeX and MERMEX.

HyMeX - HYdrological cycle in the Mediterranean EXperiment
HyMeX aims at a better quantification and understanding of the hydrological cycle and related processes in the Mediterranean region.

MERMEX - Marine Ecosystems Response in the Mediterranean Experiment
MERMEX aims to deepen the current understanding of the Mediterranean marine ecosystems to better anticipate their upcoming evolution.

MedCLIVAR - Mediterranean CLImate VARiability and Predictability
MedCLIVAR is an international networking programme of the European Science Foundation which aims at coordinating and promoting the study of the Mediterranean climate. The MedCLIVAR web site includes bibliographic and metadata archives relevant to the Mediterranean. Note that MedCLIVAR offers exchange grants in the field "Understanding and predicting the response of the Mediterranean climate to the increase of radiatively active gases and aerosols" with applications deadlines in mid-March and mid-September.

CIRCE - Climate Change and Impact Research: the Mediterranean Environment
CIRCE is an Integrated Project of the European Commision FP6. It aims at understanding impacts of the climate change in the Mediterranean region and identifying possible adaptation actions.

DUNE - a dust experiment in a low nutrient, low chlorophyll ecosystem
The main goal of DUNE is to estimate the impact of atmospheric inputs on an oligotrophic ecosystem submitted to strong atmospheric inputs. DUNE is mainly funded by the French ANR.

Relevant Data Centres

 ICARE - Cloud-Aerosol-Water-Radiation Interactions
The ICARE Thematic Centre provides various services to support the research community in fields related to atmospheric research, such as aerosols, clouds, radiation, water cycle, and their interactions. ICARE mainly focuses on the production and distribution of remote sensing data derived from Earth observation missions from CNES, NASA, and EUMETSAT.

ETHER - Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry Products and Services
The Ether thematic Centre provides information on French scientific activities relating to the study of atmospheric chemistry. It publishes measurement data from French laboratories and many international centres, forecasts (such as potential Vorticity) and modelling results, browse images and software. It provides on-line data and processing for public or restricted access data sets.

 Qualitair Corse
Air quality measurements in Corsica.
